Fitting an AMP??

Im wanting to fit an amp and a sub in the boot of my car, and am just wondering if its much of a job? Ive had a look where i can feed the power cable from the battery, through the engine bay and into the car, and i cant find any other cable running through to use the same holes. Does any 1 have any tips or better still some pictures (step-by-step) on fitting one, as its the first time ive tryed fitting one?

It's not too tricky to do this in the CC. Running the wires under the carpets into the boot is simple enough. Getting the wires from the engine bay into the cab is a bit more tricky if you don't know where to send it.

That doesnt look to bad, as long as the wire goes through the hole ok? Did u feed the wire from the inside the car and into the engine bay, as i though it would go from the engine bay, to inside the car? It also looks like youve had to remove the glove compartment. How did u do this, and was it much of a job? Have u got any pics of you doing this, as pictures say alot more thatn works? Cheers mate

Removing the glovebox is easy - just undo the weird looking screws (think they're called "hex" bolts and you can buy hex drivers from most hardware shops). From memory there are two at the top, one on each side and two underneath the hinges (you just pull the glovebox lid off). There's also one inside underneath the bit where you store the manual. I don't have a CC any more so can't take any pics I'm afraid!

Once you find the rubber gromit, pull it out. You'll then need to drill a hole through the plastic behind that gromit so you can feed wires through from the glovebox to the engine compartment. It's easier that way as the wire comes out underneath some other stuff in the engine and you can't see it from the bay.

Nice one!! thanx alot mate. Ill have a go at that when i get a spare day or so, as its will more than likely take me that long being a novice at this sort of thing. Just hope its as easy as you make it out to be and everything goes ok!! Your help is much appreciated. Cheers
