I wondered what sort of environment most 206cc owners kept their cars in? Do you have a garage? Off street parking? Has there been any attempt on vandalism to your car?

We keep ours on the drive as I dont have a garage, the only vandalism has been from the local cats using the roof as a bed. Im still trying to catch one out and start to put the roof down while ones on it.

Garage for mine

Nearly had it broken into though when I was parked at the bottom of Glastonbury Tor in Somerset (on holiday). Some greasy wurzels had their hands all over it  and were luckily frightened off by a passing car.

They had already broken into another car nearby

They should be shot at dawn when caught

Out in the road for me ...

Terraced cottages so no room for a garage (unless I buy next door and knock it down !!)

Hi Tyce
how is your car then? Is it being mended as we type? Mine is also kept in a garage, even in the day sometimes when im not using it.

definitely garage for me...i think i would have seriously considered not going for the cc if i had to keep it on the road where i live....its not a rough area but there are tons of kids, both German and English who like to re-enact what their granddads did 50 years ago, and i didn't fancy my shiny motor in the middle of a warzone!!!

Hi Liz,
Nope the car is not mended yet... it still needs to be checked out by the insurance independent engineer and then get authorization and let the dealership know. Then they will order the parts which I have been told could take upto 5 weeks!

So in the meantime I will be driving my busted 206cc and keeping it in my own garage for safe keeping.

pow, I also suffer from vandalism even though I park it in my drive.

my next door neighbours cats! Its b****y annoying to see the cat on my roof or bonnet when I go out. Especially when the cat launches itself of the bonnet with its claws, there must be a humane way of dealing with it. I like cats but this is too much.

Thinking of purchasing some super soaker water pistols, look out cat, "I'll be back".

I've allways parked mine on the street. Even in London. It's has never been vandalised (had it almost a year now). Just last week however someone attacked my boyfriends car (a golf turbo diesel), they obviously wanted a black nearside wing mirror and bent both the door panel and window frame in the process. The CC was parked two cars away and wasnt touched.

I actually chose the CC for safety reasons. I wanted a convertible, but felt vulnerable when driving around London with a soft top, and hoped that the hard top would be less prone to vandelism.

So far I've made the right decision.

On the old forum, there was a post from a owner in Bury near Manchester who had a rag put in her petrol cap and set alight, luckly a neigbour spotted it before too much damage was done. That was in her own garden.
