Took my CC in today to get the squeaky clutch and squeaky brakes looked at.
They said they have lubricated the clutch and cleaned the brake discs. So far so good!
(Tempting fate!?)

Also found a screw in my boot which looked like it had come off the boot mechanism. When they investigated this, the screw I found didn't fit in the hole where I thought it had come from. (There was another one missing too)
They said they checked their demonstrator and that had 2 identical holes the same as mine. They also checked all inside the boot to see where this screw had come from but couldn't see.
I will show the people at the meet what I mean as I would be interested to see if these holes are supposed to have screws in or not.

Also received good service from the garage (Charters Camberley) which made a nice change!
Peugeot if you are reading this - thanks!

The screws might have come from under the roof securing latches..

Both of mine have fallen out.. & appeared in to boot.. Took me a few days to work out where they had come from.

Just to update..........

I called my dealer today and mentioned that I now knew where the screw had come from? He asked the question:
"How did it get in the boot?" (I thought I was the thick one!)
He asked how I worked that out and I was honest and said that it wasn't me that worked it out! (Thanks Simon)
I also mentioned that the brakes were almost free from squeaking but not 100% and he said thats probably the best they will be. Went off on one about how they used to use asbestos and now they don't and the stuff they use has ripples in which causes the squeaks. (By this time I had switched off)

Julie, even so, I wouldn't leave any cheese in the car just in case that mouse comes back.

hi julie

my mouse is history from tomorrow onwards - i hope. had a really annoying sweak in behind the rear panel where the back speaker is. every bump it squeaks - and because its the drivers side its even more noticeable. was convinced it had something to do with my new speakers rubbing the body. after having the rear set in and out twice in a vain effort to kill the mouse (yep ... it take ages to get the silly seat in and out), let my audio specialist have a look. finally traced it to the rear quarter window frame sweaking behind the panelling....

so frustrating but hopefully gone soon ...

good luck with yours...

cheers

hk

ITS JULIA!!!!!
(Sorry I hate being called Julie!) Especially after the new Ali G film!!!

My squeak is definately from the brakes!
Glad you got yours sorted. I am taking it to the Dealers on Saturday to get the screw fitted so depending how bad it gets from now and then I might mention it to them!

Thanks
Julia (with an A) not an E!
