Colin Camerons 75th minute strike proves to be the only goal of the game in which Wolves outfought and outplayed Man City. We had a record crowd of over 29,000 cheering on the boys, but nerves were certainly apparent amongst the fans. The game was apparently a bit bad-tempered, especially towards the end with Nathan Blake and Paul Ince getting involved. Looks like we're learning with every game - not running the clock down against Bolton and letting Davies equalise last week was just inexperience. Michael Oakes pulled off a stunning save in injury time as Man City searched for the leveller that never came.
What a pity the teams just above us (Newcastle, Spurs and Leeds) all managed to win too....Ah well, can't have everything I suppose.
Congrats CB. At least your team won, unlike mine who thoroughly outclassed, outplayed and generally whooped their opponents only to lose to a bunch of dirty, rotten, CHEATING, lucky lucky gooners!
Actually Derek its the Jocks keeping Wolves ticking over at the moment...Alex Rae getting the winner against Darlo in the Carling Cup, then his "Goal of the Season" volley against Bolton, now Mickey Mouse with the winner against City. And Kenny Miller back from injury now too. Says something about our Premiership credentials when we're relying on the Scots!!!!
