As posted on the old forum, I received my brushed aluminium roll hoops.
The process of fitting them was easy, one spanner and 30 minutes is all that is needed. So much for the 3 hours Peugeot quoted me.
A problem (which I couldn't mention until now....you'll see why) was when I tried to overtighten one of the bolts as it was not sitting flush against the plastic, the thing sheared leaving the passenger side hoops secured by only one bolt.
I contacted the makers for a replacement (due to one of mine being damaged in transit !!| ) and after a couple of Emails in French, a fax, and eventually a colleague giving them some verbals in their own language - they shipped me another. Once I received my replacement I could mention it publicly !
SO -if you fit some, don't overtighten them!
They look the dogs' preverbials by the way.

With the currency conversion etc. I suppose they cost somewhere around £140, and took about 6 weeks to arrive (the replacement took only 4 days!)
I have no pics as yet, but there are some on this site from the guy selling the hoops. If you are thinking of getting the grille, go for the hoops instead - a little more individual, they cost the same and look FAR better than those dodgy plastic ones ! I'll try and get a pic or two uploaded soon.

Hi Stuart,
I'm interested in bying those hoops, but first I want to know one thing.
I believe the original hoops are designed and installed to provide protection. Do the new ones provide the same? Is the aluminium solid? Or are just two more shiny fancy things without purpose??
??:

Well TZAG, if they original hoops were designed for protection then I am surprised ! They are only what seems like some very thin metal tubing covered in pastic/foam ! Also, they are only secured by 2 rather small nuts for each hoop - take the seats out and have a look, you'll chuckle. The replacement hoops are tubular metal, sealed at both ends (welded) and are also fixed using 2 rather small nuts. The originals would offer little or no protection in the event of the car turning over - take a piece of string and hold from the roof top to the boot - if they are there as a safety feature then it looks like the hoops would only offer minimal protection in the event of a flip (they protrude about 1inch as far as I can make out, in the dark with myopia and profound squint
)- they're there for styling purposes only.

The hoops are pretty much the same dimensions, and yes, the company I purchased mine from is Camotos in France. I have also seen some being marketed by Musketier in Germany and there are local suppliers (in the UK). See their hoops at
