38K is an awful lot of money :yikes:

When are you hoping to have it finished?

An even more horrible thought. I reckon with a bit of luck and a following wind you could have had a Ferrari F355 for that.

OK, OK, I'll stop mentioning "other cars you could have had for £38k" now :D

TBH I'm amazed that you can do this. That must be £20k's worth of mods that would be worth all of about £2.50 come resale time. Personally I bought the Cerb as I was fed up with buying new cars and the savage depreciation that comes with them. I was sorely tempted to get an RX-8, but how much will that be worth in 12-24 months time?
Why would I want those cars???? at the end of the day if everyone had £38k they could all buy one but not my car...now thats the difference. I dont want to be sad and have an old farts car, I want a car that will stand out from everyone elses thats why I'm spending this amount!! But like you say whatever floats your boat and I'm afraid any old car doesnt!!

 Have you had an insurance quote yet?

How long will your car have been off the road?
Yer I've had one, with all the mods its less than £900 a year. It will have been off the road for a year in march.

20K of mods on what is basically a small front-engined, front wheel drive hatchback originally designed for mum's school run and doing the shopping... and after all that, it still has only a bog standard unmodified engine? Now that really is mad!
Ha ha I guess you dont actually own a cc mate, well I think you will annoy alot of ppl saying the cc was made for mum's school run and the shopping. Its the best Coupe Cabriolet around for its size and power....2.0 GTI engine....me thinking this is just no metro emgine my friend.!!!!!!!

Oh and as far as the engine being unmodified goes then I guess you know nothing about my project do you....critismn is ok if you know all the facts...YOU DONT!!!!!!

No, but a CC doesn't weigh what a Metro does either. I was going to leave you to it, but now I'm really having a laugh at your expense. :D

So you call it "the best coupe cabrio for its size and power" and say "2.0 GTI engine", yet you then deride the Noble, the Cerb and the Ferrari as "old fart's cars". I think not.

PS: I do own a 206 CC. :D

I dont think your be having a laugh at my expence at all!! At the end of the day I dont go on Noble, Cerb and Ferrari forums dissing other members. To me they are old farts cars but I dont go round telling them that on their forum but you seem to diss the cc. Have a bit of respect for other cc owners and this forum as some of us think the cc is a fantastic car....not sure why you bought one tho if thats what you think of it unless of course yu class yourself as amum who uses it as a school run around and shopping car!!!!!

Also you have no place to diss me on what I'm doing with my car as thats up to me no one else, you dont see others doing it do you. But then again ppl aren't on here to diss other LOYAL cc owners etc!!!!

I agreee Chad (Darran)

It is totally up to you what you spend on your car and good luck to you!
Everyone has different opinions and you are more than entitled to do what you want to do and thanks for showing us the progress.

Yeah, i'd agree with that too. I wouldn't do it myself (the price of the cc was enough!) but it's your money and it's your choice how to spend it.

By the way, that was a good insurance quote with all the mods.

What are you driving whilst all the work is being done?

Some time ago I asked for a quote on this body kit and for sometime, was very interested in getting it.

Now I see what work it involves, year plus off the road!?, 30K (and the rest)! makes me feel physically sick and envouse.

I'm only jelouse Chadd. Can't wait to see the final outcome. It's gonna look different and for the better I recon!. :D

So, out of interest, what mods have ya done on the engine?

P.S Ya got any spare cash layin about Chadd?!
Need some of them Lexus lights init :D
