 makes me laugh.

Some time ago I asked for a quote on this body kit and for sometime, was very interested in getting it.

Now I see what work it involves, year plus off the road!?, 30K (and the rest)! makes me feel physically sick and envouse.

I'm only jelouse Chadd. Can't wait to see the final outcome. It's gonna look different and for the better I recon!. :D

So, out of interest, what mods have ya done on the engine?

P.S Ya got any spare cash layin about Chadd?!
Need some of them Lexus lights init :D

Chris.
To be honest sometimes makes me feel abit sick but then I know whats coming so i smile lots!!

Mods to engine, well it will be at least 180bhp plus NOS but may go to 250BHP plus NOS if I supercharge it but not sure about the supercharger yet....still very undecided.

If I did mate I would give everyone some but sorry all dried up!! Once my car is on the road you can buy my lexus light for £50 as I've got new ones.

Not an idiot at all!! I can afford it so why not its my money. Anyway 20K these days to spend on mods for yor car is cheap especially considering how much I'm having done. There are only 2 original panels left on my car now and thats the roof, even the chassis is being modified!!

Everyone is entitled to do what they like with their own money. Its not something I would want to do to a car of mine, but if thats what Chadd wants to do, then who are any of us to criticise!

Fair play to you Chad. If I had anything short of 50K burning a hole in my pocket then I would love to be able to blow all of it on my cc I would like to be in your situation and do something really wild to my cc. Mind you if I had more than 50k it would be a different story. The cc would have to be my second car and an Aero8 my first. Keep us updated with the pics. I for one like to see WIP.

First time I read through this thread, YUMMIE car 8)

I like what your building Chad, don't see it as any more idiotic than me buying my slk 32 AMG which has in all probability a higher depreciation (some 8K in 6 months), at the end of the day I have more than 8k's worth of FUN with mine as I'm sure you will with yours.

PS. I Keep meaning to do something with mine to add to the 354 bhp, trouble is I'm too lazy at the mo.

Please keep posting pictures for us enthusiasts and happy driving matie. :D

....but it will still be FWD ;)

Serious question (this is not a dig): how many cars that cost £38k are FWD? I reckon there might be some Audis in there, but most people spending that would go for the Quattro. Some of the bigger Volvos, maybe? You probably couldn't spec a Saab up to £38k.

Another serious question: if you wanted to spend £38k on a unique car, have you considered getting one built? I know it's too late now, but I'm pretty sure you could have got someone (i.e. a factory) to build you a kit car for that sort of money, which they would have customized to make it unique. Probably something smaller volume than a Caterham, maybe a Ginetta or something? There's someone (Gardner-Douglas I think) that does a Lola T70 replica. Or maybe an Ultima?

PS: IMHO you shouldn't arse around with NOS cos it's a bit cheap 'n' nasty. Get it supercharged. Do Jackson Racing do a kit? Maybe you could drop a 3.0 V6 in?
