Do you have one, if so - are you happy with it ? I'm considering one (well - it's a spoiler or a boot rack, the boot rack is more practical !).

If you're a potential boot mounted luggage rack buyer - let me know as I am in contact with some guys in France who seem to be able to obtain things such as this at fairly low prices (e.g. windstop for 181€ which is about £113 without delivery) I inadvertantly ordered 6 windstops trying to contact them  ooops.

Well done Stuart

It just looks like you have taken my cheap parts crown. Are they the Peugeot type windbreaks or the canvas only homemade style ones that seem to be around in europe?

If they are genuine can you find out if they do cheap stuff for my Pumas

Look like the Peugeot ones to me :

Perhaps they are genuine...but..errr....'second hand' ? (only kidding) That did make me think - I do leave the top down if the sun's out if I'm not going to be long...the windstop costs like £175 and can be removed in seconds ¿¿ I'm investing in some cable ties

Enough windstop talk, I want a luggage rack cheaper (which requires me to buy more than one...hence the reaon for the post !) Go on, you know they make the car look nicer

Well I rekoned the boot rack makes my black Pug look better so much so that I've never had it off the car since the car was new, never caried anything on it either, click onto the boot rack picture of member 234 for a feast of boot rack piccies.

You're right Robbie - it does look the proverbial 'Dogs', especially with the roof down. They're still quite rare, I was the first person my 2 local dealerships had enquiring about them, and a far more practical 'mod' than the Abbes' spoiler.

Oh - and the UK price is £220 apparently.

And the icing was I got it free with the windstop and car mats, took me 40 minutes of negotiationg with the dealer tho and several luk warm cups of Peugeot coffee (ugh).

Your right Stuart, they are still rare out there which makes my Pug all the more individual - hope it doesn't catch on.

Robbie

Just what I’ve been looking for – I was going to try to modify my MG boot rack to fit the CC but if you can get the pug ones at a decent price then I’ll have one.
We are driving down to the Algarve later this year so the extra luggage space will be handy.

Good man Adrian, not sure if 2 luggage racks constitutes bulk-buying though !!

Any more takers ? You know it makes sense, check out Robbies pics...for starters (the rest can be found under owner 234) :

Depending on price, I'd be interested too please

But they're only held on with Torx screws - does anyone (Rob?!) know of a way to make them un-nickable?

they are probably best left the way they are. Then if someone decides to try and take it off they wont just pull at it and break the support bars that it fixes to.

I'll send a mail off to the guys tonight. Not sure that the discount offered will be that large as there are only three of us (and only showing an interest not placing an order). If there's anyone else out there, drop me a mail. It's gonna be the next fashion accessory...be one of the first to have one (those Lexus style lights are SO passe now  )

Oh nooo... there goes my individuality. Still can't blame people for wanting one, they do look really great with the roof down.

Stupid question time... the pics I've seen show the lip behind the rollover hoops, but should it be round the other way (lip at the back over the bumper) to stop your luggage falling off when you put your foot down with g-force acceleration?

Have seen one about Robbie (a Cayman green in Reading) so you're not quite unique. That didn't have any luggage on either!
