Where is the leak?? take a look at lyndons site and download the documents that Peugeot Norway have made. If it is at one of these places, take the documents with you to the dealer and cross your fingers. You shouldn't give them more time if they cant fix it this time. If it still leaks, go for a new car.
Since my advice is to go for a new car instead of the money back it brobably is obvious that I love the car and dont regret buying it one moment.

Derek,

I've had the car since the end of November.

I have written a letter to Peugeot stating rejection, but they now seem to believe they can fix it this time, hence why it has gone in for the week.

So, if not fixed, they have a fight on their hands!!
Judgement day is today!!!

lisa,

peugeot saying they are not happy maybe means one thing if your dealer is like mine.

my dealer had my car for just over 2 weeks before the parts / seals arrived - i wasn't letting it get soaked anymore so i told them they could keep it until they got the seals.

they phoned me 5 days later as promised and told me "they are not happy with the repairs so we are going to speak to peugeot". i asked if that meant it was still leaking and they admitted it was so i told them they could keep it.

i had a meeting with the dealer general manager 2 days later where i officially rejected the car.

a point to note is my replacement was entirely financed by the dealer - not peugeot.

derek

They appear to have stopped the leaking (or so they claim) .The problem now lies with the fixture of the doors (making too much noise whilst driving)and the engine.
Not sure what the engine problem is but peugeot says its something to do with the manifold and makes the car sound like a diesel.

I'm not entirely sure I want the thing back now!!!

A bit more info. The car sounded like a diesel when it was put under strain (pulling away in a high gear) I was suprised to hear that the dealer actually knew what the problem was. The inlet manifold has a valve/flap problem. It is a problem they have experienced on normal 206's for some time. Unfortunately it is 3/4 weeks delivery for replacement.

I read it that it was 3 to 4 weeks wait for replacement parts not a replacement vehicle. My dealer's told me Peugeot are a victim of their own success, they're selling so many new cars the majority of parts are going into production which means there are long waiting lists for parts for repairs

well if its 3/4 weeks for a new part them it would be almost as quick to get a replacement car as they are only 5 weeks.

Peugeot have gone mad. Look after the existing customers or they just wont come back (like me).

Nice cars shame about the after sales care

Yes I regret buying it! Worst thing I ever did. Most unreliable car ever, and BY FAR worst service I have received in my life! Do any dealers actually bother with customer care? Why are Customer Services called that? Where is the service!!!!????? Peugeot are absolute rubbish!

For all those people with leaks - why don't you move to a dry climate like Oz so you don't have to worry about getting rained on ;)

This is an add-on to the previous msg from KIRK.

Bondi Beach & Coogee Beach , Sydney - Australia. There are thousand of brits there everynight from all the surrounding backpacker motels. Why don't you all come on down under with your CCs. Not much rain here, beautiful sunshine and CHEAP for UK visitors. Just a thought.....

It is 3/4 weeks replacement for the part, although this is their last chance for the leak fix, so we may be lucky and get a replacement car before the parts arrive!

I got my car back on Friday and after driving around at the weekend, the verdict is .......it still leaks!!!(and thats after new seals)

Although, all the cabin noise has disappeared and the engine & brakes are both fine

Calling Peugeot again today to tell them they have failed!!!
