I'm not that impressed with gear changing in general :?

well thats two of us ! its ok if you move the car forward a bit and try again but if you can't do this (ie something in the way ) it would mean getting out of the car and pushing it back by hand

Normally if you let the clutch up (in neutral) give the throttle a blip, then try again, it will go into gear.
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

We have this problem on our 406.

I think the clutch is worn - it has done over 60 000 miles, although it never has a problem with any other gear.

It happens on my 206 HDi and also happened on my 306 HDi. Must be a standard Pug gearbox thing!

Its a known problem with 206 gearboxes. I find if it wont go into reverse, stick in in first, then reverse will go in sweet as a nut!

Happens to mine sometimes. All I do is lift my foot off the clutch and put it back down again. I used to have the same problem with my Fiesta a couple of years ago.

Hi
My Alfa was the same, the trick is to not select reverse until the clutch has been depressed for a few seconds, sometimes the hydraulics take a while to engage, then it should go in smoothly, give the car a chance and wait a few seconds :D
