Guys and Gals, I'm new to this forum, but really need some help, before one of the robbing Peugeot Dealers rips me off.......

Yes my centre exhaust section has finally corroded on my 206Gti, and yup it's time to fix it..... now I have that famous Peugeot/Massey-Fergusson sound following me!

Problem is this, the CAT fitted to my car (not the purring kind.. well not any more!) has two Lambda sensors, which means that the normal fix of cutting the pipe behind the CAT and fitting some other after market pipe will not work. Basically as the lambda sensor is to far back, that when you cut the pipe, you cannot get the sleeve in between the new center section pipe and the Lambda sensor.

Anybody any sensible suggestions? I have approached a local tuning company (SevernSide Motorsport) to have a look, they were perfectly willing to 'cut & shut' the exhaust, but before I went down that road wondered if anybody else had a better idea.......

I had the get a section cut from the new mid section on my GTi just a few weeks ago...

I was wanting to fit the exhaust myself but then i realised the only way to do it was to get a section chopped from the end and have it re-welded...
I got this done for £25.

Managed to get the exhaust cut and a new one fitted.

I found a local company called 'Severnside Motorsport' (www.severnsidemotorsport.com) who were exceptionally helpful. Basically the guys there are real mechanics (they have spanners not laptops). Ok so it wasn't cheap, but all the labour, a center and back box came to £220 (inc vat) so for 3/4 of an exhaust and the work not too bad.

Check them out they were very helpful and are into all sorts of motorsport tuniing. A couple of hot Pug's on there website.

Thanks for the reply.

Well next time have a look at http://www.buypartsby.com/timax/Timax%20630565.bmp and the parts come to your door for £91.91!!!

Add £25 for fitting and maybe £4 for a clamp and your wallet will be more healthy!!
