Hmmm I actually have no idea whether my seals meet or not, I'll have a look 2morro, too cold to go and check now.
My leak is on the drivers side not the passengers though I don't want to say too much - might just tempt fate !!!! The seal above the door on the drivers side now comes away completely from the car.
Every time I open my door or the passengers when it's been raining, there's water on top of the window if that makes sense so I have to run a tissue around the top so it doesn't drip inside although this isn't where my main leak is coming from. It's going in on the 19th so we'll have to see what happens, until then a tissue is in the hole !!!!!
Anyone else have this problem of water running along the top of the windows?
A girl was collecting her CC today from the service department while I was there and hers leaked exactly the same, hers had been done today. Her's is also an 04 reg same as mine !!!! They reckon they've sorted hers.
On a brighter note my car come back today from having the dent done and they have done a fantastic job, and it's been valeted inside and out !!!!!!
The salesman has still been an absolute star so I won't be slagging any of them off just yet.
How long before the leaks start?

Oooh not good....same dealership as mine I assume.
Apparently mine has had new seals all round they certainly look different, not sure they look better but not sure they need to look gr8 as long as they are right !!!!
Been out 2nite and it's raining....no leak - well least not yet......fingers crossed !!!!
As for valeting maybe the last time was just a treat as 2day it's filthy !!!

Well I spoke too soon !!!!
My Pug goes back in AGAIN next week to have the roof seals done AGAIN !!! This time the water pours in the passenger side. I agree that it does seem to be worse when I've had the roof down.
Quite frankly I'm really disappointed with the car, the way I feel at the moment I wish I'd never bothered - should've stuck with Ford.
On a positive note - 4 weeks today since I quit smoking !!!!!!!

Jules, sorry that you are having all this hassle. Stick with it and I am sure it will work out ok.
If you don't get any joy next week then I'd take it to a different dealer. Perhaps ask someone on the forum who has had a leak that lives near you and had it fixed.
I had a Puma like you and my cc does not leak, touch wood, and I much prefer it to the Puma. Hopefully when all this is sorted you will feel the same way too.

Am a bit nervous today - goes back in 2day for the roof seals again (2nd time) in 2/3 weeks. I really hope they get it right this time or I won't be responsible for my actions !!!!!
Does anyone elses water run down the inside of the driver & passenger windows if it's been raining and you open the door - I find myself having to wipe the top of the windows. Is this just all to do with the problem with the roof seals or could it be something else !!!???
Sighs................

Ho hum - well here I am posting again !! What a suprise my car is still leaking despite 3 trips already to get the seals looked at.
It is still coming in the passenger catch side - watched it this morning hoping it wasn't going to happen but sure enough in it came - wedged a tissue in the gap bit, which has become the easiest way to sort it temporarily. Tissue was soaked by the time I'd driven the 12 miles to work.
So I rang the Aftersales Manager as that's who I deal with now and not just someone on the service desk and it's going in again next Thursday / Friday. I've been looking at the rejection section here and it seems some people have rejected on less things than I've had. So far (since 5th March 04) brand new 2.0 Allure I've had:
1) 3 trips so far for leaking roof - once driver all others passenger
2) 1 trip just after collection for dent in door done before I collected - though the Sales Manager accused me of doing it !!!!!!!
3) Squealing brakes - next week they're being looked at - not the first time I've told them.
4) Now a squeaky brake pedal which drives me to distraction, only occured this week - loud music does cover it a bit - but that's not the point.
5) Boot is sticking when I try and open if it's sunny - it does open but it's sticking and pops open rather than just opens
6) Handles funny when braking coming down a hill - it pulls to one side.
7) A safety recall - I know that's not necessarily the dealers fault but I'm still adding on my list !!!
I was pleasant to the guy on the phone and said that I would give them the chance to sort these issues and I didn't want to reject but I would pursue the matter further if necessary.
Everyone kept your fingers crossed !!!
Bring back my Puma
she never went to the garage once for any problems - only for regular services.
