Hi... I get my new 206cc this coming friday! Can't wait! It's been on order since the beginning of Aug!

I knew insurance was going to be expensive, but I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent well priced company. Problem is that my occupation pushes insurance up (DJ) and the fact that I'm 23.

Hope you can help 'cos I can't wait to get behind the wheel!!!!

Cheers,

I'm with Admiral
I'm 19 and i'm about to pay for the years insurance. I've got the 2.0 version
It's gonna be 960 for the year fully comp
Really good considering my age
Bell Direct also worth a try

Thanks for those. Would be interested to hear of more good deals too!

Chris... you really get your year for under £1000 ? Thats terrific. I am struggling to find a quote less than £1200. I think thats due to my job.

Cheers again!

I'm with royal sun alliance it's the only one that would cover my stereo gear (parts and labour) upto £2000.

The quote is just over £600 fully comp, full no claims discount PROTECTED and the stereo cover as mentioned, not bad for me at 30.

Cheers

I went with elephant.co.uk back in April for my insurance. I was 20 at the time and that was approx £1300 for 10 months which was very good considering the majority of quotes were in the £4k mark and one even topped it at £6k!!!!
Sounds like the insurance has come down then. I will certinaly give admiral a try when my renewal date comes up. (February)
Blimey doesn't time fly when your having fun!!!

Me and Melanie both have our cars with CIS )COOP)

08000 28 29 29

She was with Admiral for the last couple of years but CIS beat them. The bonus is we can have free business use for any occupation except taxi driver or race car.

The bonus protection is good (unlimited claims) and they pay out well and quickly.

I have just completed 12 years with them and you all know what a tight a*** I am and how I like value for money. Its the small things they offer that make it so good.

You need to shop around, it's just your luck on your individual circumstances.

Axa Direct (axamotor.co.uk)were £595 for me, that was for the SE valued at £17500 with options. I was 26/m, full NCD (protected), SP30 conviction.

Examples of my other quotes show everyone is different.......

Tesco/Direct Line: £750
Elephant: £1600
Admiral: £1300
Bell: £1100
CIS: £1050
Eagle Star: £800

etc.........

Yes really that's how much it is for me at 19
I had to phone around loads. Some company's laughed at me. One female call handler said how it was her dream car and that if i took the policy out could i take her for a spin.
For a while i gave up but luckily i decided to try again

I'm with Eagle star. £1000 for a year, with 4 years no claims. I'm a student, and ins. companies hate that, so I'm fairly pleased.
