Not sure whether anyone over in Europe have this as an issue but I was wondering how hot leather seats get during summer.
Seeing as I live in Australia and even though we are having a relatively cool summer (so far!) here in Adelaide our summer usually produces a fair few 40 degree (celsius) plus days.
As I have never had leather seats before I was wondering if I'll be burning my ass every time I get in my car during the summer (when I actually get my car).

I had a full leather interior on my last car and it does get very hot. Now, bearing in mind our best summer days are about 28 degrees, you can imagine how hot your seats will get. As an option on some cars now, as well as heated seats, you can have cooled seats. May be worth enquiring?
??:
The leather does look very nice though. The only reason I didn't opt for it was because it is not heated!!

Hey Hows it goin guys....
In south Africa.. we have summer temps reaching upper 30 degrees.. today it was around 36 degrees celcius... if the car is parked in direct sunlite with the top down.. for a long period (20 mins +) the seats get a bit hot.. but never hot enuff to burn ur ass
Leather is DEFINATELY a yes... looks great doesnt get too hot... (tho i wudnt park it in the sun ALL the time.. since this will damage the leather!!!) - get some UV protection for your seats

Well I agree with Farouk in the aesthetic part, but the problem is not only where you park the car. Keep in mind that if you try to make a trip then leathers will cause you sweat problem. Summer temps in Greece are high enough as well. I've tried to make not too long trips seating on leather and was pretty uncomfortable.

whats the options??? without leater i will think that its pretty hard to keep the seats clean during a dusty ride with the roof down. Maybee a cover for the driver seat during the warmest period will solve the sweat and heat problem... and its easy to take it out for a trip in the washing machine, but then maybee it looks a bit corny???
I would go for leather..

Hi again Kirk (happy new year). My experience with leather in my current 306 cabriolet is nothing but positive. Sure, they can heat up if left in the sun with the roof down, but honestly I've never had a problem with a burnt bum. In terms of keeping the car clean, leather is a sinch, and as everyone has mentioned they look great but also feel great. I'd never have anything else.
Heard any more on arrival of your CC? The ship was meant to arrive between 26-29 December so I can only assume the first shipment is here. I'm hanging out to hear from my dealer, I'm still hopeful of getting it within January. Will keep you posted, you do same
Cheers

I know that you can sweat sitting on leather seats in the sun but then with climate control, this should go some length to eradicate any such problem.
Went for leather anyway, as its reasonably priced at some £700, and next to cloth versions of the cc sitting on the forecourt, it just looks so much more classy in my opinion (apologies to cloth owners) and I haven't been disappointed with my choice. Infact, I'm absolutely thrilled with it! 10 out of 10 for recommendation.
