Side Rubbing Strips

Hi Folks,

I've got a 2002 spec CC and I'm wondering should I get the side rubbing strips and black bumper bits colour coded or should I remove the side rubbing strips all together for a smoothed effect?

Anyone removed the side rubbing strips? How difficult is this to do? and what does it look like?

The panels are full of holes so the strips can clip onto the door.

You'd have to get them filled if you wanted no strips...
