Hi, My boyfriend and i fitted my stereo and cd changer in my car the weekend! I want to get a new sub as ive heard because of all the metal in the boot you lose a lot of the bass.
Can anyone recommend a sub??
Also does anyone know where and how much it is to buy a custom built sub box?
Many thanks!!!

I've got a 13inch focal sub in the boot and the bass can be heard with no problem whatsoever. Was really surprised by the bass when I heard it the first time as I thought like you that because of all the metal in the boot the sound wouldn't come through.

My box was a custom built one and it still has plenty of room for shopping and for dropping the roof.

Take a look at my photos for ideas.

Remember that most bass comes through as vibrations rather than pure sound which is why you hear bass so well.

Put some tweeters in the boot and you won't hear them at all! As a test, put your hand over the driver's tweeter and you'll be surprised at how much sound you lose.

Bel, Not sure as the installer attached it in the boot. I guess its just screwed into the side of the bootwall using the changer's self tapping screws.
