Mine only does it occasionally, normally when it is first started and the air con is on - I switch the air con off for a couple of miles and then the problem vanishes.
I must admit I have found much better response using BP fuel over supermarket brands, no shell garage near where I live so its either BP or Total the vast majority of the time.

I just changed the petrol I used - BP Ultimate although I have had several ECU updates and recently a COm2000 replacement I ran it on Standard unleaded a few weeks back and noticed it was a bit sluggish again - Back on Ultimate it feels alot more responsive

most of the pants starting and poor performance is due to poor mapping in the ecu.
peugeot as other car companies have to keep to a strict emmisions regulations ,so its always more bias to that than car performance.
we have fitted super chips to some fleet vehicles.(customers paid) and has improved the whole drivability of the cars.
also clearing the auto adaptives of the car and resetting them (through diag) can make a huge inprovment on performance.
crunchy revese is a known one.... most of the 206 range left the factory without lubricant (grease )on the gearbox primary shaft.so the clutch plate sticks to it and wont allow you to engage reverse propaly.
only fix is to remove box ,clean splines with wire brush, lub splines.rebuild.gears will be as smooth as a babys u no wot.
oh also fitting bosch spark plugs in the place of pug ones help 90% to ward s injector spiking and putting up the same anit pollution fault.
hope this helps yuo all???.
