HUD question

Not sure if this is the right place to post but here it goes..

When I took the car for a test drive before I bought it I think the HUD was displaying Radio station etc.

If it was working, it isn't now

I have read through the manual and can't find anything about being able to change what is displayed. The clock and temp. guage are there as they should be.

The car is a 2001 se model, everything as standard.

Any pointers would be appreciated, even if it's to tell me I was imagining things.

mmm not sure m8 as i had the factory headunit n speakers removed about 2 weeks after i picked up my Y reg all those years ago

If you have the original clarion headunit with no display then yes the HUD should display all the information for the stereo.

I've temporarily had my original head unit in when my aftermarket one was out for repair. The stereo information comes through the HUD display.

Its faulty otherwise!

press the button at the end of the stalk on the right hand side of the steering wheel (not the stereo stalk, the other one) will change whats display... dont know why your stereo wont display though... are you sure it still the original cd player?
