Hi fellow puggers......Like to find out if changing ur orignal head units will affect ur audio control by your steering ??? hope to find some solutions if i do change my head unit....Many thanks.

hi there...if you change your head unit you will lose your stearing wheel sound controls...unless the new head unit has an adapter that allows you to use those controls!

brands like alpine, kenwood, sony, etc, have that kind of adapter...just ask for it at the store! ;)

Any idea wat kinda adaptor is it....Been searching ard for it....many of the store dun hav tat :(

well its not really an adapter...is more like a wire kinda like iso's connection that connects the head unit to the controls

if i find it i'll show it here ;)

i agree with huu, when installing my head unit, i only found sony to have the adaptor for the steering audio control. although i have to say when you have a great system in there i think you'll totally forget about getting it hooked up. that's wat happened to me!!

i have an alpine head unit and to be honest i dont even notice that i dont have the adapter! alpine does supply that adapter but you dont really get to use the audio controls on the stearing wheel!;)

Well...i was prepared anyway....was juz hoping someday....some smart scienctist would slove this problem....hahahaha :lol: :lol: :lol: ...tks anyway. :D

u mean it doesnot affect ur audio sterring control???? :shock:

Oic..........Well,would prefer to make full use of the audio control....as i tink its bery useful whilke driving :P
