Hello fellow cc-ers, a few questions.
At the 20,000 mile / 2 year service:
1- How much should it cost from a main dealer (approx)?
2- What work should be carried out?
3- Would you think your car would be cleaned?
4- Would you expect them to carry out any additional work that you request?

Bloody :mfight: :mfight:
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

1. i had quotes for £100, £125 & £150 from 3 different dealers.

2. just binned the thing last night but there is a list in your service book.

3. depends on th dealer policy - some do, some don't.

4. they will carry out work but you would expect to pay for it if it isn't covered under warranty.

Cheers Derek

Well to answer my own questions:
1- £145- only got one Pug dealer around here though, so not much choice as I wanted some warranty work done too... (see item 4!)
2- They specifically haven't done some of the items listed on the service schedule
3- They haven't cleaned it
4- They haven't done any of the warranty work I asked for. (Squeaky/rattly drivers side roof catch, software update- hasn't had one since manufacture even though I ask every time, make both windows auto as descibed by reap or someone similar on this site)

Useless frickers.

So I'll be on MS Word tonight then...

being honest with servicing, the majority of time they have washed the car for me (different dealers) unless i have asked them not to.

Well it's the wife who dropped the car in because the dealership is right by her workplace.

So once she's primed up, she'll be the one kicking their arses!
Even better, Di's firm is a big client of the dealership and she's the liaison!

no surprises for knowing that i would have it

Peugeot Motor Company PLC
Aldermoor Lane
Coventry
CV3 1LT

don't expect miracles off Pug because when i complained to my dealer about their service and copied to Pug, i had to write to Pug again to complain about not getting an acknowledgement to the complaint from them.

f****** :monkey:

send it recorded delivery so you can prove that both have received it.

You could always phone Ellen Beene who is a customer services manager

You could try the switchboard, or she used to be on 02476884824 or 02476884177

Not sure she would thank me for that but she can get stuff done...

OK, so we sent the letter to our dealership and to Pug UK.
The dealership phoned the very next night!
It was a guy who had only been working at the firm for about a week, having been brought in to 'sort things out'
He was very concerned about what we wrote and called back the following evening to go through our letter an item at a time.
Then he had a meeting with the firm's service department manager.
Then he called us back again and we booked the car in for Tuesday (yesterday).
They came and collected the car from my wife's work, before 10am as arranged.
They had the car for the full day, during which time the car was -
Serviced again, properly, including brakes
Dashboard service reminder correctly reset
Rattly roof catch fixed
Passenger window made automatic
Car washed and valeted (including polished steering wheel d'oh!)
Car returned to Diane.

Much better...

good to see that they came good in the end.

when i did my letter pug didn't bother but i got a reply from the after sales manager at the dealer within 2 days of them receiving the letter. he arranged a meeting with me the following week where we went through all the points and as i had also complained about having a 106 quiksilver as a courtesy car for 4 days, he gave me his own company car which was a rover 75 2.5 V6 connisseur for 9 days when my CC went back in.

eventually i rejected the car but the process was easy to a degree as from that moment on i only dealt with the after sales manager.
