I have a the 2.0 206cc but it's an import so the manual is in Dutch.

Can anyone tell me the method for disabling the automatic headlight thing?

Thanks...

From memory (mostly vague and unreliable -my memory, that is), with the ignition in the accessories position, press and hold the button at the end of the light stalk for 4 seconds, then release.

I think that will do it.

It's 11:40pm here in Sydney. If I remember, I'll check the manual (Aussie version) and report back at some stage tomorrow.

[What I'd be more interested in dis-arming is the AUTO VOLUME feature on the stereo. Anybody got any clues ?]
Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Derek, I tried that but it doesn't turn it off for good.

'Cos the auto volume is back on again the next time you get in the car.

Oh well yet another cross to bear. I'm beginning to know how Mr T must've felt.
Cheers,
Michael

Someone graciously scanned the manual in as a PDF which you can download here (note that as it's a scan though you can't search for text within it).

Page 8 it the method as has been mentioned, with the ignition in the accessories position (engine not running) and the lights in the "0" position, you press the end button for more than four seconds. If I recall, the display then confirms whether it's on or off.

The auto volume thing is within the menu on the rado you get by pressing the right hand button. They did a download on mine a while back and I lost that feature (can't turn it on) but I never found it that useful anyhow :)

I used to have the auto volume feature always on (or was it off), and it would never keep the setting after the ignition was turned off.

It was fixed with several software upgrades (i.e. i dont know which one!), not that it makes a difference with auto volume on or off .......
