I have just driven from Leeds to London with, and I'd wager money on this, more stuff in my car then anyone ever can have gotten into a cc before, it was simply nuts.
But to the point, as an alternative to the £200 + pug boot rack, I went to Halfords, bought the thule roof system for cars with roof bars, and clamped them onto the bars at the back of the car. I hadn't used it until today, but it worked a treat, and the thule system is about £90. It may not be pretty enough to leave on permanently, but it is fairly easy to fit as and when required, and it locks onto the car, so it won't get half inched.
Just a thought for anyone considering buying the boot rack,
J

Is this another of them homemade jobbies like the previous post on the windstop. But at least this one looks quite good, the windstop looked like a pair of tights had been wrapped around the seats!!
