I'm interesting to buy a car from England. Offer sounds too good to be true. So how can i check that seller isn't a cheater? Or that he even owns the car that he's selling? Lyndon told that there is so called HPI-service but that's too expensive at this stage (just to realize that seller doesn't even own the car). Seller even promise to arrange and pay all the costs to transport the vehicle here in Finland
And it's clear that i'm not paying any money in advance.
And no i'm not selling the CC or the Lotus, just dreaming to get new toy in my garage
Just got new email from seller. Now he says: The car is sealed in a container and I'm afraid all the papers are with it. That's when i asked car's papers to send to me... sounds cheater or what
The car is in a container because he wanted to close a deal with another buyer in europe, and that buyer didn't make any deal.
So can someone there in England take a trip to some container
Now i asked seller to tell me the car's number plate (or what you ask when you want to know what's in number plate  ) and car's VIN-code.
I asked if he could do so called rembus-deal (I give money to english notary and he gives them to seller after I have called that car has arrived and is ok).
Here is the latest answer from the seller when I asked that "rembus-deal": And if you will screw me? Man, I choosed Western because is the fastest and because I can verify on line if the money are sent, I will not pick up your money until you will receive the car. I just want to see them there, online. Or if you accept, put the money on your name or what name you want, but on my address of course and after you will receive the car, you will just make a call to western union and change the receiver's name into my name so I can pick up the money.
Anything that mentions Western Union is 100% scam.
Thanks Derek!
That helped a lot, cause I haven't a clue about Western Union. Except my friend has used it with no problem at all. But he has a company.
Latest news is that I'm trying to reach this german man who was buying the car but canseled at the last moment. It would be interesting to call to this man...
It's pitty that this is scam because the car is red and it's got midengine... and no it's not another Lotus...
Derek don't expose it yet

It may not be a scam but there have been so many stories in the UK where people try to sell their car and someone from abroad, normally timbuctoo wants to buy it via Western Union and it's always a scam.
The two words just scare me

I get this "german man's" email address, and asked him about this car deal. He was very "angry" why I'm contacting to him and where I get his email-address
And then I came to realize... and understood to make some studying. This german man and this seller is the same person, just checked that both messages came from same address
And I told to this "german man" that this seller might need some kind of lesson, for instance to reveal him in some forums .
What's your opinions? I can give these names and email-addresses if someone needs them.
And if you are buying very very cheap Ferrari 348 spider talk to me first (I mean double cheaper than usual)
Afterall this person don't live in England... emails came from Romania when I traced them.
