Can't quite believe it..but I've had my cc a year on 1st May. Yep, I remember the day well - poured with rain from morning 'til night!

I'm 650 miles away from the first service (beyond the check at whatever low mileage it was!) and thought it'd be useful to find out what people have paid roughly at their dealers for this, before I book mine in. Mileage is just under 16K.

It's likely to need new brake pads - no squealing, just they're well worn ;) and erm...extra stopping distance is a definite requirement right now!

Everything else is fine (dreads them being famous last words by being unlucky or monkeys!).

Thanks
Ali G

The service costs vary dealer to dealer.

I paid £100 for the 20k service but also had quotes of £125 and £150.

Not sure about brake pads as I got Ecosse to do mine. Never saw the point in paying monkeys that couldn't even tie their own shoe laces anymore than I had to.

if your mileage is under 16 youve got 4k to go? If youve had it 1 year ?

I paid 120 for my service.

I had my car for 2 years and around 20k when I had my first service. The bill came to £140.

Does anyone know when the rear pads should be changed? My car has done 25k now since new and the front pads were changed for ebc pads at 16k.

Ooops - seems I've managed to confuse everyone!

I didn't buy the car new - it had 5K on the clock and the 6K or 6 month service had been done and is stamped in the book.

This is the 20K or 2 year service (having got the book out of the car!) - but you're right - it isn't yet 2 years old and it hasn't done 20K! However, the countdown on the dash, says it's due for service at another 650 miles, which I'll easily do within 2 weeks. :?

Spoke to my dealer today - cost they're quoting is £199. But I've booked it in anyway - they collect/deliver to/from work, guaranteed return time (yes, I know what you're thinking!) and I've not had any problems with them from the purchase through to some mods and some minor warranty work.

So, it's a service (not an intermediate visit) - Is £199 steep based on the extra info?

Thanks
Ali G

Looking at the book, the first service is due at 6K or 6 months

Thats right, it is 6months / 6000 miles (not sure of the miles)? then 2 years or 20k. The 6 months one isnt worth it .. although now peguoet say it voids the warranty if you dont. Which wasnt the case until recently. Id wait for a bit until you are nearing 20k .... that spanner thing is just an estimate.

199 pounds .... id say that was prity expensive.

£199 is extortinate - nearly double what I paid. I thought the 40k one at £250 was expensive but your not far behind that with your 1st.

I can't remember. There are details in the service book but that went with the CC so don't have it anymore.

i have had my 6 months one done already in jan/feb

So what your saying is wait till i have had car 2 years until next service as i will be nowhere near 20,000 miles
