My money's finally come through so it's decision time... :D

...so I'm on the peugeot website & the allure cc 1.6 no longer exists except in an automatic...please feel free to check I'm not hallucinating.

My dad got well excited about buying a brand new car as opposed to the 1 yr old cars I was looking at previously. I was looking at imports but I'm a bit scared and the spec & fuel consumption on the diesel 1.6 allure (zzzzzzz) seems pretty good.

We're going to fax several dealers accross the UK ot see what prices they come back with. Another thing I can't seem to find on the website is the 6 CD changer on the accessories page or the windstops on the Ecosse site that Louis prev pointed out as a good deal.

One last thing with the grey leather - are the back headrests black leather? That's not such a good look...all advice gratefully received as always.

diesel - clatter clatter at low speeds when your crusing along

the rear headrests will more than likely be black contoured foam plastic like all the over 206cc's although i could be wrong :?

Do you mean the hoops? I thought they were aluminium as standard these days?

PS: I'm also not convinced about the idea of a diesel convertible -- I mean one of the points of having the roof down is hearing the induction and exhaust noise. But a lot of people seem to be doing them now. I believe the Audi A4 Cabrio and Megane CC are both available as dieses. I wonder if the BMW 330Ci is, too?

Danielle,

No Windstops on Ecosse. I got my Bonnet vent from them.

If your near Leicester you can get a windstop from Wycliffe Peugeot ask for Andy Thorpe (01455 552177) and say i recomened a windstop from him. The price is £185. You may get a better deal from here or ebay on a second hand one.

But if you want things like rear lights try Ecosse or GBK performance.

Back head rests are plastic you need to get the chrome hoops, loads of places selling them for cheaper on ebay.

Also forget the 6 disc changer from the accesories page, over priced.

First get your car then upgrade the whole system, i did mine for really cheap and im over the moon with its performance.

Any more help just ask.

Louis

P.s. i have a boot rack for sale if your interested 8)

Called my local dealer & am going for a test drive tomorrow. He says they have a limited amount of Allure petrol 1.6's going for £14k and confirmed there was a mistake with the pug website cos they are still making petrol allures!!!

I'll let you all know how my first spin goes (just incase anyone's interested!!!)

Are you seriously comparing the two?
I mean, a Ferrari with Tubis is loud, and so is a scooter with a broken exhaust...
