Today I got my first glimpse of the 206CC and was mightily impressed. Not being one to hang around I am already interested in buying one but intend to do my homework before I sign on the dotted line. I've been through the problems page and it seems like there are a lot of dissatisfied owners out there. Is this just a few out of many or are these problems quite widespread?

Also, what models are available (engine and other spec) and how much can I expect to pay for each?

Finally, are there any other sources of info on the net that I may find useful?

Cheers,

Mick

The most of us is realy happy with our cars. Someone is having problems, but for most of them the joy of having and driving the 206cc is bigger then the problems.

For other sites and forums you may go to Lyndons main site and look at the links.

If you want to read about my "diary" about mine car you can do it at http://peugeot206cc.norge.cc
It hasn't been uppdatet for a while, but you can read about the problems I have had and the solutions.

I like others have had problems with my car, but its worth it on sunny days. All is forgiven!

How much you can expect to pay depends on whether you want to import or buy from your local dealer. If you intend to do the latter I'd recommend you researching on here who the reputable dealers are near you. There's nothing worse than having problems with your car and finding your dealer's worse than useless at fixing them. I was lucky in that respect.

If you want to buy from a Peugeot dealer, have a look at http://www.peugeot.co.uk/showroom/step2 ... 0cabriolet That'll show you the options and prices. You can get either a 1.6 or 2.0 petrol or 1.6 diesel with various extras (leather upholstery probably being the most widely recommended).

The waiting list in the UK is something like two months max at the moment I think. Depending on your budget, it might also be worth looking at insurance costs. That almost put me off!

If you decide to go for it, I'm sure you won't regret it!

i haven't had any problems (touch wood) with my car since september 01, bar the odd niggle which the dealer fixed at the first service. i have a 1.6 which is nippy enough, don't regret buying a 206CC so why would you...?!
