Hot air (coming through vents when climate control off)

Hi

Not sure whether this is a fault or not so thought I'd ask and see what other people's 206cc do.

If I start the car with the climate control off and drive until the engine is warm hot air comes through the air vents.

If I then turn the climate control on for a couple of mins and then turn it off again, the hot air stops.

Is it normal? I asked the dealer and they said it is but I don't think it used to do it.

i get the same thing, i just close the vents n ignore it.

Cheers Budlord! That's what I do but it's a bit of a pain. I didn't think it used to do it but maybe i'm wrong. Has yours always done it do you know?

Does anyone else have any knowledge?

yea mines always done it, i just turn eco fan onto a low temp till i feel cooler air come out, then i just switch it off n it goes away or i just divert the air to the windscreen

Pretty much the same here....really annoying with the roof down you get a hot blast of stale air !!

Tend to close the vents as well ... Pug comment was ..."ermmm yeah oh well er maybe....i think thats normal...ish...."

Bloody useless....

this is by design. its a failsafe for when (if) the unit fails, you can still operate the window demist function. Just turn the climate control on but the air con off.

ha, and i've never even owned a pug (looking for a fault for a friend and thought i would lend a hand)
