It really depends on where you are but try Tesco, More Than, Priviledge, Direct Line and it may be worth checking something like www.confused.com to see what they come up with.

First Alternative were cheapest for me on the 350ZR closely followed by Norwich Union Direct.

It's worth bearing in mind that what is cheapest for someone could be the dearest for someone else.

Hiya Kim, 1st year of insurance is always really high! if you cant afford it why not go on your mums/dads as it will make it lots cheaper just you wontget the no claims bonus!!!

When i first started i got a 3 year deal. Cost me i think 1200 or 1500 a year to insure a 2.0 se but that never went up no matter how many claims.

The year after that was £1000
Then £880

Now £580

Thanks

Craig

Co-op always did cheap insurance for young drivers. I would give them a try.

However Directline have always given me cheap insurance on the CC apart from one year when Admiral was cheaper. 332 pounds with Directline, but I was 29 at the time. And I thought that was expensive  . That’s a 2.0 with Full NCB and protected NC, but only 6K miles a year.

My wife went with Elephant early on in her drivivng life, but be warned we had a bad experience with them. They tried to charge 40 pounds to end her insurance when she found a cheaper quote elsewhere. New terms and conditions they said, but they hadn’t told us previously and so we didn’t pay it. Cheeky!
