My wifes 1.6 has stalled three times in 12 months, replaced coil and leads twice and filter once. Filter as wet apparently. Can the cause be (as on some Land Rovers ? ) that water is getting in between the intake and the filter. Is this a common problem and are there other references to this on this site (does not appear to be covered under the sticky links.Car awaits return to dealer agian and wife refuses to drive (safety issue).
Update - found water in tube from injectors to air filter, air filter, box below filter full to brim, box behind driving lights full too.
