that's quite normal, it's the 206's economy mode so it leaves power on for a short while. I've just gotten used to turning mine off manually

ah yes it is i see.
its staying on because the multiplexed van comfort network stays alive for approx 10 mins after ignition turned off.this is normal on origanal stereo cause it was designed to work on a multiplexed network
your new stereo isnt a multiplexed unit.but the car still thinks it is,this because the wiring and function is differant will make you new stereo stay on until the bsi goes to sleep(power latch)
you need to take to maindealer and ask them to deconfigure your old stero from the multiplex net work
this stops the bsi from looking at your new stereo and reverts the wiring to your car to oldi worldy live ,earth etc.
this will then enable your new stereo to turn off when you switch the ignition off. :)
hope that makes sense to you. :)

I've just fitted a sony unit, and had the same prob. Can't remember what I did but think I swapped the yellow and red wires over and the unit switches off when I take out the key, but the lights on the unit stays on for a few minutes. memory seems fine on the unit too - if that help.
