every now and then my automatic box seems to confuse itself when scanning the gearbox ratios - typically when pulling out at speed from a turning or roundabout. it means the car lurches a little until it settles into the right gear. anyone else experienced this problem?

I had problems with the auto box, it wouldn't kick down when accelerating hard. Check yours does. Had new gear box, but took 2 months to convince Birtwsitle of Northwich it was faulty, and then 5 weeks for replacement. I'm still not happy with it, most unpredictable auto I have ever driven. You will also find it does weird things when braking because it tries to change down to match the engine / car speed! Have now rejected car (after 5 months) because I am sick of the ongoing faults, but my wife insists on a replacement. Aaaaarrrghhhh! Bear in mind also box is 'predictive'. It 'adapts' to your driving style. Basically this makes it crap!! Good luck.
