Yer you could say that and I especially want it to work as I have now been offered to have my engine turbo'd anywhere from 270BHP up to 370BHP....which ever I choose! Brakes are very important me thinks!!

This probably won't come as a shock to some of you...

I just contacted PUG in Bmth and they begin with saying to me "Not aware of any recalls sir?!"

Me thinks they are wrong judging by this thread, so I put the phone down and rang them again.

"Recall sir? oh yes that will be the brake clip fault" .
"No, your car isn't effected I don't think, oh... hang on... I can check for you though".

"Really, you can?" I said.

That would be Hartwells?

Well they replaced the brake pedal clevis pins on a work colleagues 206 following my telling what I'd read on this forum.
I can see their garage out of my office window and they are a bunch of :monkey: :monkey: .
I had my test drive there, told them I was very interested in buying a cc... and I never heard fro them again. Too bloody lazy to even sell their cars, let alone fix 'em.

Unfortunatley the pug dealer in Poole has recently been taken over by Hartwells too- we've been having 'fun' with them re brake pads (they replaced the fronts with non squeakers but won't do the rears) sticky rear windows, and warranty bodywork.
Their level or service improved rapidly (but still poor) when they recognised my wife's name as she runs a fair portion of her company's vehicle fleet through them...
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

  popped down to my local dealer', Dixon's, (most of the regular's are aware how poor their service usually is) at 9.00am this morning to have the recall booked in, they did it there and then, nearly fainted

took them 20mins till they took the car in, then another 15mins to fix, if they can do it quick i'm sure other dealers can too:D :D :D :D :D

I have a 51 reg 2.0 and have just received the recall notice - so chances are your car would be affected.

I think the recall is referenced as X3K and involves replacing the clevis pins on the brake pedal - 20 minute job according to the other posts on here - mine's going in tomorrow

Just bought my Pug two weeks ago on a 52 plate. Now I am wondering if mine needs fixing. Think I'll ring the helpline just to be sure!!!!
