Multifunction Panel Display/ Clock.. problem..

Hey!

Right so basically, sometimes this will have random numbers on it under the time with a strange looking icon.. other times it'll have the MPG and other times it'll have how many miles (estimated) are left in the tank... how does this work? why wont it stay on one thing... ? :/

you keep pressing the button on the end of the wiper stalk. each press will cycle through all your computer options.
