We have a Peugeot 206 1.1LX 1999.
Our engine misfires, revs rise & fall. This only tends to happen when the engine is warm.
Local garage couldn't trace any fault codes. They suggested that the Throttle Body unit needed replacing as the most likely cause of the problem. But they could not guarantee this would definately be the answer - but the local Peugeot dealer confirmed this is a common failure on this model.
But £340 later the fault has not been resolved.
Does anyone have any ideas?
- Lambda sensor? The Lambda Power web page lists case studies which sound just like mine. Does my car have a Lambda sensor? If so, this would seem like a good next step for my garage.
- Any other ideas?
Our car has 53,000 miles on the clock.
Thanks people.
Arianne.
