airbag fault

hi would really appreciate some help, i have only had my cc 2 months, its is an 03 plate with 48k, when i test drove it there were no problems and it was all fine, the day i got it home 'airbag fault' appaeared on the screen and on the dash, my dad had a look at it and thinks it is an electrical problem, i know it is on the passenger side because 'airbag fault' only beeps up either when i hit a bump or if i have a passenger, ive tried turning the pasenger airbag off but then everytime i hit a bump it just beeps and says 'passenger airbag deactiviated' please someone helkp becaus its driving me insane. i want to take it to pug but i know its gonna cost a fortune!!

Try wiring connections under the seat which connect the passenger seat airbag into the Airbag system - disconnect battery before you mess with the airbag wiring
