Hello!!

I have found 2 types of treatment to use for squeaky/rattly windows/seals and roof seals. They are:

Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease.
http://www.2spi.com/catalog/vac/dow.shtml.
Can be bought from - http://www.rwgreeff.co.uk/dow-corning-h ... -5kg-HVGR5 for about £6 for 50g tube.
Only need small amount but website says it last 60 months (5yrs!!)
Scroll about half way down the page for 50g tube.

and/or

Rocol Dry PTFE Spray - Can be bought from RS Components www.rsonline.co.uk, part no 693-321, about £15. Although might be able to buy elsewhere cheaper.

I have used both as managed to borrow them from work colleague and both work really well.

I used spray on roof seals. When you spray it on it goes white and I thought that dont look like it's going to do anything but certainly works. Not even the slightest squeak from my roof now :)

I used the grease on my back drivers side rear window, (black bit between the rear window and front window) as it used to squeak and rattle like mad when roof down but now it doesn't :)

Hope this helps everyone.

Does anyone have any experience with the dow corning high vaccum grease??

I use very often a silicone sprey SONAX for the rubbers and plastics of my roof-windows but the squeakies and the rattlies continues after 2-3 days...
Anybody with any idea?

I wish you all a happy new year!
