Hi all, stumbled across your site whilst looking for info regarding 206 cc electrical faults and have to say, great site, well done
,Anyway, started having some weird lecky faults with my 206 cc,hazard lights flashing on their own,car wont start, just get clicking noise from engine when trying to start, faulty passenger airbag alert, eco mode something or other, key fob wont unlock or lock doors, all these were happing at diferent times and not all at once i should point out.Today when i got home from work,i dropped the roof, windows went down and went and took missus to get some bits, when i got home,i couldnt get roof up again or windows, everything worked tho
took it to local dealer and arranged to get it put on a Diagnostic machine, left it with him but heard nothing for about 3 hours so i went back there and asked how they getting on and his reply was"we now taking an ECU off another 1 m8 and gonna try that",My question is,Wouldnt the Diagnostic machine of told him where the fault lie's rather than him having to try a part from another car??the car can run fine for a week or 2 before any faults appear.Sorry its long winded, just trying to provide as much info as possible,TIA for any help

Hi SWEDGE, welcome to the forum.
Sorry to learn of your troubles. Sounds battery related to me but I'm no techie expert. You've got it in the right place hopefully with your local dealer.
We have one person on here who knows Peugeots as he is a professional. If you include details of the model, year, engine, history etc he may feel able to comment.
Let's hope your local garge find a solution quickly.

Hi GrandadMonkey, many thanx for your reply, sorry i havnt replyed sooner,Anyway, car went for Diagnostic and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it,they kept it in for 24 hours or so and i picked it up the next day,i paid £64 for the diagnostic only to find that when i got it home,i thought i would check the fuses only to find 1 had blown,i replaced it and hey presto, windows and roof both worked again. Now,would the diagnostic of told them this or not??being machanics, wouldnt you of thought they would of checked the fuses?.When a Diagnostic is carried out, should you get something like a sheet of paper listing what is ok or what isnt?all they gave me was a reciept saying a diagnostic was done.Since then,i now have the dreaded anti pollution message come up everytime i start the car and the engine management light is on:rolleyes:

What awful service from them. Which garage did you use? Good mechanics should always consider the basics first. They've upset something too by the sounds of it if you're getting the warning lights and messages.
