help please ! car just cut out !!!!

hi , im new here ! i borrowed my wifes car this morning (a damp morning) it a 206 cc on a 52 plate , i drive about a mile down the road when all of a sudden everything just cut out , pulled car up on to a verge , all electrics are dead except for the car will turn over , can anybody help please !!! she's not happy and im in the dog house , thanks in advance Dave ...

Sorry, not trying to be sarcastic. Just practical.

I felt there was insufficient information to make a diagnosis. All electrics dead except for starter motor? Never heard of that one.

Perhaps someone else on here has had the same thing happen but realistically, to get back on the road, if it had happened to me I'd have called out the RAC.
