roof not opening

hi I AM DOING ALL THE SAME PROCESS ,SWITCHING ON THE ENGNITION THEN EXTRACTING THE PULL OUT SCREEN FROM BOOT PULL BOTH THE ROOF CLIPS LOWER THE WINDOWS FROM THE TWO SWITCHES INFRONT OF THE ROOF SWITCH ACTVATE THE ROOF SWITCH AND NOTHING .I have gone to a technician to check if I had a problem with the roof ECU but couldnt detect nothing and told me to go to the peugeot dealer if the windows go down from the front two switches is it possible that the ecu isnt faulty thanks for any replay and if missed out on something please say so It will be a great help .

I normally pull out the blind in the boot before getting in the car. Turn on the ignition, wait for the diagnostics to run through on the dash, start the car, undo both roof clips, then operate the roof switch.
If nothing then happens you need to take it to a Peugeot specialist. There is a good Indy in Oadby, Leics if you're anywhere near there. Could well be just a microswitch.

thanks for your reply grandadmonkey today I folded the roof manualy for the first time and put it up again this time the operating the roof switch with the back curtain intouched I got the signal sound which I DIDNT have .Next week I have booked tuesday at peugeot repairs and will post report to all 206cc fans thanks grandadmonkey

I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM ON READING OTHER SIMILIAR FAULTS BUY MY SELF .I NOTICED THAT WHEN I UNGAGE THE ROOF HOOKS THERE IS NO BLEEP SO ON READING IF THERE IS SOME MICRO SWITCH WHICH THERE ARE TWO WHERE THE HOOKS CATCH AND ONE OF THEM WAS JAMMED FIXED IN 10 MIN AND MONEY IN THE PIDDY BANK OR A NICE PRESENT FOR MY WIFE OTHERS HAD THE SAME TROUBLE AND SPENT A FORTUNE ALL THE BEST FOR THE NEW YEAR
