Hi
I'm really really trying to get the black fitting bits for the 206 cc boot luggage rack, as somebody has stolen mine.
I'm hoping that somebody can help me, either you have some spare parts, or know of a breakers yard, as where i live we don't have such a thing.
I have posted replies on the for sale section and entered on the wanted columns.
Does anybody have any ideas?

I doubt very much whether you'll just get the black bits. I don't think a breaker's would have them. I suspect you'll have to get another rack. There are some on eBay including

Good luck

They do seem to be popular and going for quite a high price on Ebay at the moment I notice. You can get them for around £35 usually

The one I suggested has some corrosion which means that it may not be as quite as attractive a purchase and hold back the price achieved. As you wouldn't be bothered about the metal corrosion it could be a way of getting one cheaply (relatively) to cannibalise for the bit you have missing. You don't HAVE to buy it, we're only trying to help,

On the back of that, being an ex stage performer, I had an entourage of 2 and tons of gear including a full size air hostess trolley all of which fitted into my fiant punto 60 with room for 2 passengers. The boot of my 206cc is massive compared to my punto 60' leaves me to ask, how much luggae does one need

Right ! Now i'm getting depressed :-(
How come everybody wants one now i want one !
Whats up with people, Ollie, i think you are right, obviously somebody is bidding as a friend, or has second account, this is the second boot rack that has gone/will go for over £100 !! in the past week.
p.s. i tried following a black 206 the other day to pinch his black bits, but his was missing too !! uuummm something is going on eh !
p.p.s. i've got a lovely photo to add to my profile, but the avatar (i think that's what it's called) is not working, it says my file is too large, can somebody explain (in simple terms) how to do this, cos i'm a girl !
Many thanks

Hi Beach Babe, do you have a photo editing program like Picture-It or Microsoft Photo Premium? Open your avatar picture in one of these and you'll find a function that enables you to resize the image. With Microsoft Photo Premium you can also click on "save as" and save the picture as another file, and if you click on "options" you can make the picture lower quality and hence a smaller file. I remember re-sizing mine several times before it was small enough!
People who don't like cats were probably mice in an earlier life.

I am sure you will come across a good find on ebay, speaking of ebay I had a good clearout today, am not in the habit of selling on ebay but thought it was a shame to chuck the stuff so listed it, told my mother and she asked me if I wanted her to upbid my auctions, I told her no as was chucking the stuff in the first instance - so am sure she is not the only one to suggest/do this. I have read somewhere that ebay stated it is not breaching there rules when friends and family upbid items which I thought was a bit shocking, apparently it goes on in the property market alot.Beach Babe wrote:Right ! Avatar - I use photoshop and if you post the pic or private message me the pic or a link to a pic you uploaded in somewhre like photobucket I would be happy to resize it. I think there is a thread on here expalining it, a simple way would be, save someone elses avatar open theres and yours in paint, downsize yours by selecting Image in paint and select STRETCH AND SKEW alter the HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL amounts only from 100% down to as little as 10% depending on the image, but avatars can be different sizes its all to do with the pixel information they hold.
