Hi There, i am new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have recently bought a 206cc 1.6 from a private sale. The gearbox is grinding in first and second gear,rather then a complete strip and rebuild of the gearbox or buying anothere gearbox at ridiculous prices is it possible to find another gearbox which is compatible with the 1.6 i.e 2.0 or a 1.4 or any other 1.6 box. I know the ratios are different but i have noticed the huge difference in price. I would really appreciate some advice here as i have only 3 weeks to get the car done before i need it to drive my kids on holiday. Thankyou for your time.
