I have a immobilisers fault, the refuses to start more often than not. I have taken it to several mechanics, and non could fix the immobilisers.
Now, a friend of mine put me in touch with a local imobiliser repair dude, who said, he could fix the fault only for it to return as he couldn't guarantee it. He reccomonded the following:
He told me to go and buy a second hand ECU, BSI, And key fob ( all from the same car. ) he told me they are usually in the price range of £120-£180 ...
now i have the following questions, Can i buy a ECU BSI and FOB and barrel ring, from any 206 or does it have to be exactly the same, i.e same engine size and a CC or could it be from any 2.0 206? I am at my witts end, The immobilisers repair guy said he would only charge me £60 to fit all the above and get it started, provided i get the parts.
