squeaky air con

Dont really know much about cars so I'm asking you guys if anyone had the same problem....

Picked up my car on saturday, and was driving around with the top down and as it got cold decided to put the heating on, and noticed a high pitch squeal when it is on, the lower the air flow speed, the louder the squeal, and its not the most pleasant sound in the world. only stops when i put the fan up on high setting, but that doesnt seem a reasonable long term solution.

any ideas what can be done?

Could u spray the fan see if bearings are squeaky

Opposite end to me im in Stoke park
If I get a spare second one day I'll come have a look
Try get the bonnet up and have a real good look where it's coming from and then try some cleaner on it could just have dust on it or not been used for a while
