Car alarm no longer goes off when I open the boot
My car alarm used to go off when I opened the boot without deactiving (I used to open the boot and forget to switch the alarm off so it sounded - just as it should do) but ever since I installed a replacement bulb and holder for the number plate light the alarm no longer goes off. Perhaps I dislodged/caused a loose connection when I replaced the bulb. Any ideas? The alarm still goes off when I open the door by putting the key in the lock of the drivers door.

Check the lower boot catch. There are 2 metal levers that press onto microswitches. One tells the alarm the boot is closed or open, the other for the roof mechanism. They somtimes get bent or out of alignment.
