Re: Newbie from Northumberland
Well thats all the jokes out of the way ,lol the 206 that I have got the wife has a unusual fault which I hope someone on this site may be able to help with, when you turn the engine off ,i can remove the key shut the door and the engine will then switch off ,ie it runs on for a few seconds before cutting the engine,im thinking timing ? but have been told that it could be the ECU. It also revs a bit fast on starting but then settles after a short while again any help would be great.

Re: Newbie from Northumberland
Sounds ECU related. You could try a BSI reset here

oil on air filter
Hi all before doing the reset that Capncol put up for me I was just having a general look aournd the car and as I have to get a new bit of exhaust pipe and brake pads I thoughtI'd look at the air filter to see if that needed changing and I found it to be covered in oil well not all of it but about a 3rd of it from the left as you look at it .I took the pipe off from the carb and it has a corrugated section in the pipe this was where the oil had settled Ive cleaned it and replaced it but is this normal as this car is a new beast to me to work on thanks in advance for your help.
