Window drop on opening door???

Post by yellowplanet »

Hi there,
I have an '05 206cc.

Had it a few months now and have been told that when I open the doors the window should drop half an inch and then go back up once the door is closed.

Is this true? I know someone with a 307cc and their windows do this.

Cheers,

YP

My daughter's 307CC does this. The 206cc does not.

Just read this chain - because the windows don't drop, how can the window go back behind the rubber seal? When I open the door, it's fine.. When I close the door, the window doesn't fit back under the seal unless I manually push it back in. Will this be solved with applying some silicone lubricant??

Sounds like the window guide channel isn't adjusted properly. It's not a straight forward job, so the silicone is probably worth a go
Cheers Col.
