I have a peugeot 206 roland garros W-Reg (2000)
I am thinking maybe getting myself a Diagnostic kit,
can someone tell me if I got a EOBD OBDII will be the correct one to use?
How long's a piece of string?
It all depends what you want to do with it and which one you want to buy. The cheap ones are quite basic and usually only cover basic engine stuff.
You also need to understand what it is telling you. It's not always clear cut. See here for more info

Hi there capncol and thank you for your reply.
i am wanting to find where there airbag faults are, also central locking/alarm and keyfobs to program for my car as they have never worked. just fault finding really so i know what needs to be fixed and not get ripped off saying there are other faults etc, without the codes i don't know what i am looking for on the internet ect,
A diagnostic kit to do that will cost quite a lot. It would probably be cheaper to get the codes read & printed out for you to fix. As for the keys, if you don't know what you are doing, you could end up with a car that won't start. Have you checked the battery in the keyfob?

PP2000 should do everything sheerness wants to do .. but the software isn't the problem .. you can get hold of that for free from peugeotforums.co.uk. Plus you need a laptop to run it on (winxp is best).
A 2002 model won't be EOBD or OBDII .. it will be Peugeot's version ... and while you might get it to read some codes it might not read them all or read them correctly. And for most off-the-shelf units, forget anything other than the main ecu.
What is the hard (and expensive ) part is the Lexia 3 cable set ... and I had to buy mine from China to get them for anything less than rip-off prices.
