OK,the car is a 2002/02 206cc 1.6s with 64k on the clock. The car has full service history. It is the 2nd Cayman Green 206cc we've brought on the trot that has had problems however the other one we got sorted pretty easily & it sold within an hour of going on the Auto Trader.
This one the engine sounds lovely & it drives great. However the red STOP light keeps flashing.Sometimes it goes off for a few minutes then comes on again. The AIR BAG FAULT warning also comes up in the display (very common problem i know!). And yes,the roof dosent work either!!! Does anyone have any idea what could set off the STOP light? And is there an easy way to take off the Air Bag fault warning? I Know people who have had their car for years with the Air Bag fault warning & have had no problems, surly this must be a manufacture fault by Peugeot as i know of no other car where this happens alot (Citroen Picasso aside). I'd of thought someone has found an easy way of doing it by now without wiring a diode into it to take it off permanantly.
Thanks in advance.

Two thoughts:
1) You can often get spurious messages when the battery is on its last legs, or sometimes if the battery has been replaced with the wrong type. The battery for the hatchback is not as tall and if used in error puts strain on the terminals and can cause sporadic breaks in continuity.
2) Check the level of the hydraulic fluid. If this gets low it will set off the STOP light.

An airbag light is now an MOT failure. It has to come on, then go out within a few seconds (to stop people taking the bulb out)
As Grandadmonkey says, you will get these sorts of faults with a failing battery.
