airbag warning light on

Post by wx52mvp »

My airbag warning light is on and it has been tracked to the 'steering wheel head'. At least that is what the mechanic called it. So I need a new one before June as MOT is due then and as of yesterday it is now a fail if light is on. Anyone know what the part is actually called and where I can get a secondhand one.

The faulty part is the clockspring part of the Comm 2000 unit. These go faulty all the time so you are taking a chance getting secondhand.
Cheers Col.

Always worth a search on the Bay of E:

But as Col says, you pays your money (in this case anywhere from £30 to £150 plus fitting), and takes your chances - unless you get one with a guarantee.
