trip switch stuck on miles to fill up.

Post by Dingdong »

Hi,
I have a 03 plate 206 cc 2.0 litr. the switch to change between milage use, how many miles since last fill etc on the steering column wont change, in fact it changed itself from what we wnated to a display we don't want. Have tried pressing knob on stick for long time and quickly pressing and letting go a number of times all to no avail! Any ideas on how to fix?
Cheers

that has been done it seems the switch is knackered and may need to replace whole stalk. the cost has been estimated at over £180 + vat to replace may just leave alone. Dont think the car worth that much as although been looked after by me, other have shunted into the boot and opened their doors against mine and left their telltale marks.
